The property is conveniently located near to sites of historical interest, on the edge of the lovely town of Mortain.
The detached house comprises five bedrooms, one of which is ours. There is a large lounge diner, and a fully equipped kitchen, all with doors onto the front lawns.
There are bathrooms with baths and showers, and separate WCs, on both floors.
There are three double bedrooms available for bed and breakfast guests plus a cot bed. For self-catering guests two double bedrooms are available.
Like many French houses, there is a large basement, half of which is a triple garage, but there is also a “summer kitchen” (too cold to use in the winter). It’s really a glorified utility room, where bed & breakfast guests are welcome to use the washing machine/tumble dryer, or just make themselves a cuppa. This area is, unfortunately, not available for self-catering guests.
There is a reasonably large garden all the way round the house, which our whippets love to use as a race track, with lots of natural shade and an area for playing boules (if this takes your fancy).
