The property is conveniently located near to sites of historical interest, on the edge of the lovely town of Mortain.
The detached house comprises five bedrooms, one of which doubles as a teaching room for lessons in French or English. There is a large lounge diner, and a fully equipped kitchen, all with doors onto the front lawns.
The property comfortably sleeps ten. There are 3 double rooms, (one used by us during the summer) a family room, (with a double, a single and a cot) and a single room/classroom. The rooms are large so there is the possibility of adding extra foldout beds for children on request, depending on availability.
There are bathrooms on both floors and separate WCs, also on both floors. There is a shower room off our bedroom which we are happy to share (It really is like staying with friends!)
Like many French houses, there is a large basement, half of which is a triple garage, but there is also a “summer kitchen” (too cold to use in the winter). It’s really a glorified utility room, where guests are welcome to use the washing machine/tumble dryer, or just make themselves a cuppa.
There is a reasonably large garden all the way round the house, which our whippets love to use as a race track, with some natural shade and an area for playing boules (if this takes your fancy).
